Measurements of dynamic Young’s modulus (E) and shear modulus (G) have been made with the piezoelectric ultrasonic composite oscillator technique (PUCOT) on gamma solution heat treated specimens of U-6 wt pct Nb at 80 and 40 kHz, respectively. Three aging conditions were employed to permit measurements for four different microstructures from ambient to 647°C. Values of Poisson’s ratio (ν) were calculated from the measured values of E and G. The extreme ranges for E, G and ν extended from 171 to 55 GPa, from 66 to 17 GPa, and from 0.09 to 0.70, respectively.
