Abstract
The author introduces in this paper a third moment as a distinct aid in calculating second moments (moments of inertia) for solids of revolution. It is found that the graphical determination is carried out in a manner similar to that for second moments. Supplementary remarks are made on the first, second, and third associated curves in the graphical analysis.
