Abstract
Theoretical incompressible velocity distributions for three airfoils in various cascade arrangements and for different entering-air angles are presented. Design charts and design formulas relating cascade angle, entering-air angle, turning angle, and blade camber are presented for 10 per cent thick airfoils at solidity 1. An empirical turning-angle formula is developed and is found to be reasonably accurate and rather generally applicable.
