Aspects of the Rheology of Chemistry of Fresh and Used Engine Oils

The successful lubrication of the modern engine is essentially dependent on application of present knowledge of a number of interactive physical and chemical factors associated with the choice of base oils, mixture of additives, and the manner in which these components of the lubricant affect both the engine and the environment in which the engine is used. This paper will consider some of these aspects.
