To date patient-specific analysis (both CFD and FEA) is limited by the complex pre-processing procedure needed for generating a patient-specific mesh [1,2]. Following the classical approach, CT / MRI images undergo first reconstruction/segmentation, leading to STL surfaces, and finally a mesh is generated. This multi-step procedure suffers from operator-dependence, is time consuming, does not allow a parametric mesh generation and requires several dedicated softwares. A novel approach is proposed for 3D angiographic coronary data, which allows generating structured parametric patient-specific mesh using a single open-source software, limiting the operator-dependence and the pre-processing time.
