Menisci are C-shaped fibrocartilage structures that play an important role in supporting loads in the knee joint. The meniscal attachments anchor to the tibia by means of a ligamentous structure at the anterior and posterior horns. It has been shown that the meniscal attachments are important for restoring functionality to the knee [2].
