API 582 – 4^th Edition – Additions and Clarifications to the 3^rd Edition Available to Purchase

In 2023 the 4^th Edition of API Recommended Practice 582, “Welding Guidelines for the Chemical, Oil, and Gas Industries” will be issued. The document has undergone a significant revision, including major restructuring, and inclusion of new consensus industry recommendations for welding creep-strength enhanced ferritic alloys (e.g. P91), welding Heat Resistant Alloys, and Controlled Deposition Welding. This paper will outline the new structure, and provide a detailed explanations of recent changes in the recommended practice.
