This paper discusses each of the requirements in ASME B16.20 for spiral wound gaskets that a purchaser can check, what they mean, and provides an approach to collect and complete documentation on individual gaskets. This paper will also include other items not mentioned in ASME B16.20 that a purchaser may want to document for reference.
