A framework is proposed in this paper in order to estimate statistical criteria such as Probability Of Detection (POD) from numerical simulation data. The software dedicated to Non Destructive Evaluation (NDE) CIVA allows us to simulate an inspection for various techniques and setups. Uncertainty is taken into account using random number generators for various statistical distributions. Finally, the POD is estimated from the simulation results using a state-of-the-art approach which assumes a functional form for the statistical criteria. Application cases are shown for both Eddy Current (EC) and Ultrasonic Techniques (UT).
