The recent development of the pressure vessel codes and standards was introduced in this paper. The important technical changes in the codes and standards which will be issued in the near future were also analyzed. Compared Chinese standards to the relative codes in U.S, the feasibility of the Chinese codes and standards being used internationally were discussed.
