A Profile of Spencer H. Bush and His Five Decades of Scientific and Engineering Works

This paper will address three aspects of Dr. Bush’s career; the first will discuss his publications, the second his committee leadership involvement, and the third his recognition by industry. The first will attempt to address the scope of Dr. Bush’s technical interests in terms of the subjects discussed in his publications in the many phases of his career. The next will address his nuclear power industry leadership activities including committee chairmanships, with brief opinions of the importance of those assignments. Finally, the paper will discuss recognition he has earned, and given. References to his publications are provided.
