The German national project CARISMA [1] deals with testing of fracture toughness values for initiation and arrest of original RPV materials in the irradiated condition. After all basic testing, crack arrest specimens have been manufactured out of large pre-irradiated 100 mm thick fracture toughness specimens. Their dimensions are according to the crack arrest testing standard. Ferritic base material as well as ferritic weld material has been investigated. The results are evaluated and correlations to Charpy results (like the 4 kN criterion) are introduced. In addition a Master Curve like trend curve is adjusted.
