Abstract

In this paper, the Maneuvering Modeling Group (MMG) [1] model is implemented in MATLAB-Simulink [2]. By developing in MATLAB-Simulink, various variables and algorithms such as ship specifications, guidance, control, and environmental disturbances can be easily managed in block form. The similarity of the implemented model was verified by turning and zig-zag tests. Based on the developed dynamics model, various sea tests proposed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) were automatically configured to be performed. To summarize, the results of various complex ship sea tests can be easily predicted and managed.
