Static and dynamic response of a floating cryogenic hose is analyzed in offshore offloading of LNG, taking into account FLNG unit and LNG carrier in tandem. Response of the hose in the operation depends on several parameters involved. Among them, hose overall length, span, buoyancy and position of the hose ends (terminations at the vessels) relative to the sea surface are considered important, and they are investigated. Environmental loads as well as vessels motions are considered in the computational simulations achieved to evaluate the response of the hose in operation. Parametric variation is conducted in order to observe sensitivity of the hose to parameters aforementioned. Forces and moments at hose terminations (hose ends) as well as effective tension and curvature along hose length are observed. Critical zones of the hose (as its sections close to sea surface) are analyzed with details and main remarks are addressed.
