This paper mainly studies the impact of the outer diameter, length and location of the buoyancy module of flexible riser on the overall performance of the riser and perform sensitivity analysis of these parameters. The model was built in ABAQUS to study on the section force and section moment in different cases by static analysis and dynamic analysis. The study shows that the outer diameter and location of the buoyancy module are both high-sensitivity parameters. The outer diameter mainly has a great impact on section moment of the riser and the location has an impact both on section force and section moment. However, the impact of length for the overall performance of the riser is weak. Sensitivity Analysis of buoyancy modules parameters in this paper plays a certain reference to the design of the buoyancy modules of the lazy-wave riser.
