We have advanced nanosphere lithography for fabricating ordered Au nanodisk and nanohole arrays on glass substrates. Further, we demonstrate the applications of the nanodisks and nanoholes in understanding exciton-plasmon couplings and patterning micro-/nano-particles, respectively.
