In this research, numerical approach for modeling the behavior of honeycomb seal material is studied. Also, the optimal forming process of the honeycomb core is developed and the rolling process is analyzed. The part of the honeycomb is modeled using the commercial S/W, CATIA. And the rolling process is simulated using finite element code, DEFORM™-3D. The standard honeycomb has a uniform hexagonal structure defined by the material, cell size, cell wall thickness and bulk density. The simulation results are reflected to the forming process design for the honeycomb core.
