With the special configuration, composite trombe wall gained more attention for overcoming the defects of the traditional trombe wall. In the paper, the K-ε turbulent model is adopted to analyze the thermal performance of the composite trombe wall coupled with room by means of CFD simulation technology. The analyses are focus on the passive heating cooling functions and the effect of the position on the thermal performance of composite trombe wall. Further, the pre-heating function of the composite trombe wall in winter which can improve indoor air quality and save energy is discussed.
