This paper describes the operation of 570 kW of installed Amonix High Concentration PV systems at various Arizona Public Service (APS) site locations over the last four years. The physical characteristics of the different units in the field are described, including the operating characteristics that make this system applicable for large grid connected, distributed, and off-grid/remote operation. Data is presented showing that the monthly generated energy and annual generated energy over this period of time increased as the technology matured. Discussion and data are also presented on the effects of field shadowing and lens soiling. The latest status of the largest concentrating PV plant in the world is also discussed.
