Ultrasonic Gas Flow Measurement for Custody Transfer Applications

In this paper results are presented of the rapid development in ultrasonic gasflow measurement. After an introduction into the theoretical background, the techniques, tests and results with regard to accuracy, applications and installation effects are discussed. Based on these results an ultrasonic gasflowmeter was accepted and approved for custody transfer applications.
