Applying of casing treatment in compressor has only some examples of positive influence on compressor efficiency simultaneously with very significant increase of stable operation range. It was performed the parametric investigation of entire annular recesses (EAR) of various configuration and dimension in casing above compressor rotor blades. It was tested rotor with various tip clearances and two groups of rotor with EAR (without and with penetration of rotor blade tips to the casing). The results of 20 tested devices are presented in the proposed paper. The obtained results are analyzed in connection with relative tip clearance and EAR relative volume influence on compressor rotor efficiency. The conclusions permit to wait some positive EAR influence on rotor efficiency due to useful choice of EAR configuration and dimensions.
