Abstract
Global Energy Market is observing a major transition due to enhanced focus on climate change and sustainability. The said transition is increasingly getting centred on consumer demand, technological innovations, regulatory and legislative policy reforms and reassessment of investment priorities to ensure sustained value for stake holders.
This Technical Paper aims to describe the test results of the SAW Line Pipe materials produced from TMCP material of 659.2 mm OD × 19.7 mm WT – API 5L X65M PSL2. The corrosion resistance properties for HIC and SSC testing carried out on base metal and weld metal met the requirements of API 5L. CTOD test carried out on base metal, weld metal and HAZ met the requirements as per API 5L. All the measured values for the KIH fracture toughness properties for base metal, weld metal & HAZ were always higher than the minimum required value of 55 MPa. √m.
