Abstract

Composite grids have been exploited by users in the US, USSR, Japan, Germany, South Africa and no doubt others over the last twenty years. Most efforts suffered lack of manufacturing processes suitable for mass production. Our attempts during the last few years have produced several grid forms that show promise for commercialization. These processes are fundamentally different from the conventional laminated or woven structures currently in use.
