In this paper, the situation of technology transfer, assimilation and independence innovation of key technology, the self-manufacture of large hydro-generating unit in Three Gorges Project by Harbin Electric Corporation (HE) are presented, as well as the experience of self-innovation in Three Gorges Project is summarized.
