3-RPS parallel pyramid mechanism has three constraining force screw to limit the translations of the pyramid in three directions. Three dimensions rotation is allowed. The axis of rotation does not intersect at one point. In the paper, the motion and input rationality of the 3-RPS pyramid mechanism are analyzed using the screw theory, the inverse solution and forward solution of mechanism are studied. Applying the relative constrains to this mechanism, the CARDAN movement of the pyramid mechanism was simulated by MATLAB.
