Abstract

The process of extracting technical knowledge from the text of documents is considered. The results are represented as Subject-Action-Object (SAO) concepts. The SAOs are used for searching large databases and organizing relevant knowledge in problem-solution format (www.cobrain.com), for automatically building function models from documents, for revealing cause-effect relationships from the text and for other applications. As a result, the manufacturing processes can be improved and optimized.
