In the article, the investigative results of the porous bearings and oil samples, after durability tests, are described. The analysis of the results showed that excellent synthetic PFPE oil constituted worse characteristics than mineral gear oil. The observed process of oil ageing was much deeper for synthetic oil than for mineral oil and it was mainly connected to the working temperature of the bearing during real tests.
