Economic value of the end-of-life (EOL) product largely depends on a plan of disassembly: how it should be divided into smaller subassemblies and which subassemblies should be disassembled first. To make these decisions, a disassembly structure which means all possible subassembly divisions and their disassembly paths from the bigger assemblies has to be presented in a logical form. A widely used form of presenting this kind of information is a transition matrix. In this paper, we propose an algorithm for automatic derivation of a transition matrix based on architecture of a product.
