Abstract
The results of a dynamic stability analysis of a deep hole honing tool are presented. The mathematical model of abrasive machining is analyzed under different support conditions and tool locations on a flexible central shaft. The non-conservative interaction loads of cutting are derived. Complex eigenvalues of system vibrations are calculated. Finally, the influences of system parameters on the stability conditions of dynamic behavior are analyzed.
