Abstract

The holospectrum is a FFT based spectrum. It integrates the spectra of the vibration signals in one or more bearing sections of a rotor. This paper summarizes the experience in application of the holospectral technique to diagnose the potential faults of large rotating machinery, its key technique, recognition ability and other advantages. Further potential applications of this technique in rotor balancing, performance evaluation and long range forecasting of large rotating machinery are envisaged.
