We consider the control system ẋ = Ax + Bu with stochastic mean zero high gain feedback control u. The classes of stochastic processes which can stabilize the trivial solution x = 0 depend on the rank of B. For rank B = 1 we characterize, in particular, the class of noise which stabilizes the originally unstable equilibrium of the linearized inverted pendulum.
