Abstract
This paper deals with three problems in finding numerical solutions of spatial linkage-loop equations, which have not yet been thoroughly solved. Four means have been adopted in order to solve these problems. An alternative method has been proposed. Compared with present numerical methods, the method suggested by the authors is characterized by a complete theoretical foundation, easy programming, and powerful adaptability. The effectiveness of this method is demonstrated with the kinematic analysis of a general spatial 7H linkage.
