Abstract
Electromagnetic stepping control rod drive mechanism is most widely used in onshore pressurized water reactor in vertical direction. However, due to the bias load caused by long-term tilting, the wear and failure of the sliding block kinematic pair and carrier and buffer shaft kinematic pair are caused. The researchers carried out targeted research on the existing problems, and improved the design from the structural design, material improvement and surface treatment, and verified the rationality of the improvements through the full-size prototype tests, which also proved that the electromagnetic stepping control rod drive mechanism is feasible in tilted environment.
