Abstract

In order to reduce the computational source required for uncertainty quantification of high-precision simulation program and make full use of mature commercial CFD software, the CFD model of coolant channels in the nuclear reactor is taken as the research object and the uncertainty quantification of flow field output parameters caused by boundary conditions is studied based on the non-intrusive polynomial chaos expansion in this paper. The results show that in the low-dimensional input parameters space, polynomial chaos expansion method has the satisfied accuracy and computational economy in uncertainty quantification.
