The degassing tower liquid cooler is an important equipment for boron recovery system of HPR1000 nuclear power plant. It is crucial to ensure the security function of degassing tower liquid cooler under earthquake. This report carried out a seismic analysis for the degassing tower liquid cooler. The finite element (FE) model for the Degassing Tower Liquid Cooler was established by using the ANSYS code. The response spectrum method was adopted for the equipment seismic analysis and evaluation. Through the seismic analysis, the design weakness of the degassing tower liquid cooler was identified. And the weakness was modified to meet the requirement of practical engineering according to the FE results and the relevant specification.
