As the central part of the nuclear power plant (NPP), the Instrumentation &Control (I&C) system with high performance level has a significant impact on nuclear power plant safety. Probability theory, especially the reliability analysis is one of the best ways to support this. High reliability and availability requirements of I&C system could be satisfied by appropriate methods. This paper states the discussion on two of the most important reliability data (STR & PFD) analysis of one certain I&C system and describes how this process helps to improve the design and reliability from the perspective of nuclear I&C industry.
