Determination of Preventive Maintenance Cycle for Ageing Equipment in Nuclear Power Plant Based on Economic Analysis

An approach for determining the preventive maintenance cycle for ageing equipment was proposed in consideration of lifetime, optimal cost and economy. Two parameters Weibull distribution was used to assess the lifetime of the ageing equipment. The block replacement model and age replacement model were built with the objective of optimal cost, and the preventive replacement cycle was accounted. After that eight options for preventive replacement cycle were proposed. Finally, the economic analysis model was applied to assess those options and the optimal options were confirmed.
