An analytic model was developed to simulate the flow oscillation in a natural circulation system under rolling motion. This model is a nodal formulation that uses one-dimensional homogeneous equilibrium assumptions for diabatic two-phase flow. This model indicates that there is single-phase flow fluctuation when heating power I s small. However, if the heating power increases sufficiently, vapor bubbles generate immediately and the period of vapor bubble generation is the same as the rolling period. The calculated results are in good agreement with the experimental data.
