Under long term use of plants, local thinning of anchor bolts due to outer diameter corrosion is supposed to occur. Detection and depth sizing of corrosion defects are needed for proof of quake-resistance, however, there were few techniques available. This paper describes a new technique developed through measurement tests using mock-ups and original designed device, and computer simulation.
