The planning of nuclear reactor’s decommissioning is a time consuming process. Visualization and virtual reality technologies can give an intuitive and innovative way for the dismantling planning. This paper introduces some techniques about the visualization simulation of dismantling planning and gives an example on creating the simulation and animation of a worker’s motions plan. The results show that the use of active objects and the graphic modeling can improve the simulation performance and reduce the simulation modeling works.
