Safe Management of Spent Fuel and Radioactive Waste in Bulgaria: Precondition for Future Development of Bulgarian Nuclear Program Available to Purchase

Bulgaria has to solve complicated problems connected with the safe management of spent fuel and radioactive waste with regard to the future of its nuclear program. The efforts at national level are concentrated on the safe management of the low and intermediate level waste and on the safe temporary storage of spent fuel. For Bulgaria as a country - producer of nuclear energy on the basis of imported fresh fuel, an option of major interest is to deal with spent fuel final solution in co-operative way with the supplier of the fresh fuel.
