Abstract
A concept for a database system for the record management of decommissioning information from the Korea Research Reactor 1&2 (KRR-1&2) was developed. All information will be put into the KRR Decommissioning Information Database System (KRRDIDS). Pre-decommissioning records include documents on the design, construction and operation. On/post-decommissioning records include documents on decommissioning planning, dismantling and restoration. Firstly, a transmittal index is given for the information to be screened. The information satisfying record keeping criteria receives a classification index and is stored in the KRRDIDS, while valueless information is removed. Stored files in the KRRDIDS can be read through a retrieval function where reading can be done in either a KRRDIDS screen or corresponding software. The database system is also designed so that retrieved results can be modified and updated, and again inputted or demolished by consideration of record keeping criteria. In the present study, the basics of the decommissioning database establishment were graphically depicted for storage, reading, retrieval, output and updating of decommissioning information.
