A new mechanism for working of a rotary engine is suggested based on Brayton / Atkinson cycle. This mechanism is designed in such a way that the expansion volume in three times greater than the suction volume and in this engines the exhaust gases can expand inside the engine down to atmospheric pressure. This is expected to increase the work output, reduce the exhaust heat losses and exhaust noise. Also in this engine compression ratio of 20 can be attained with out using any auxiliary compressing unit where as which is not possible in a conventional Wankel diesel engine. This mechanism was developed and animated using “C” programming language and pressure, torque values are estimated with respect to the crank angle.
