Many people look upon the People’s Republic of China as an area of great potential for industrial gas turbines. This paper reviews the present status of gas turbines in place in China and also comments on manufacturing facilities planned and in place.
The author’s overview is based upon visits to a number of turbine plants on Mainland China and interviews with plant officials and engineering personnel.
