Machinery testing in a cryogenic environment poses special instrumentation and data acquisition difficulties. The test engineer can spend much of his time diagnosing and correcting problems before valid test data can be obtained. This paper will address the problems encountered in establishing a turbomachinery test program and the eventual solutions. Data accuracy will also be presented for various tests.
