In this work the investigation of heat transfer in subcooled flow boiling regime in tubes with twisted tape inserts have been conducted either experimentally and numerically. Numerical analysis has been performed using commercial CFD software package ANSYS FLUENT 13. The experiments have been carried out in electrically heated tube, which simulates uniform wall heat flux boundary condition (UHF). Working fluid was water. The CFD simulation results are in reasonable agreement with experimental data, despite the fact that sometimes simulation did not account all features and effects of subcooled flow boiling. The liquid/vapor phase distributions show stratification in vertical tubes, indicating the centrifugal force is dominant, especially when the vapor fraction is high.
