A liquid/liquid optical waveguide microfluidic device made of PDMS (polydimethylsiloxane) was developed in order to investigate chemical reaction and mass-transfer such as extraction, adsorption, mixing and diffusion at the liquid/liquid interface. In the micro scale, since the scale effect that the gravity force can be negligible and flow become laminar was appeared, a stable liquid / liquid sheath flow can be generated. In order to investigate the flow field concentration distributions of molecule in the present microfluidic device were measured using micro LIF (laser induced fluorescence) technique. The measurement results show the stable and long interface of miscible liquid flow.
