Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Colleagues: Mr. Chairman!... I am aware of the fact that this is French-speaking Canada, but this particular plenary lecture is associated with an American award. In other words, may I impose a somewhat special sort of plenary lecture on the audience? Thank you, Mr. Chairman !
