The effects of major flow path geometries on the flow characteristics of the Fluidic Device (FD) have been investigated experimentally and numerically. A full-scale FD has been designed and tested to verify a required characteristics, and the geometric effects are examined by changing internal shape of FD. As a characteristic of FD, time dependent flow rate, pressure and level change are discussed. Three dimensional numerical simulation by using commercial CFD code FLUENT-5 was also performed in order to predict the flow conditions, which can be used as input to the test and as the reference for the evaluation of test results. The flow patterns for high swirl cases were compared with a variation of inlet port shape, and an optimal shape are suggested in order to get a stable operations without entraining the gas in the tank through the supply port.
