In an industry where most of its products are either chilled or frozen, an understanding of energy alternatives in design, construction and/or operation of refrigeration systems is essential to ensure competitive performance. As managers search for ways to improve or maintain profits, they invariably discover high energy costs associated with the refrigeration system.
